Water pouring out, sewage backing up, or a water heater that just let go? Call now. A real person answers 24 hours a day and dispatches a licensed plumber from our crews already working across Orlando.
Should You Call Right Now?
If water or sewage is moving where it should not be, or you have lost water entirely, that is an emergency. It does not need to wait for morning and it should not wait for morning. Every hour of active leaking adds drywall, flooring, and mold to the repair bill.
Orlando homes have their own set of problems. Most sit on slabs, so a supply leak can run for weeks under the floor before you notice. Older neighborhoods still have cast iron sewer lines that collapse without warning. And Florida humidity turns a wet subfloor into a mold problem in days, not weeks.
The 24 hour emergency plumbing hub covers our full Central Florida response. This page is for Orlando, right now. If you are not sure whether your situation qualifies, call anyway. Our dispatcher will tell you straight.
While Help Is on the Way
Find the main shutoff valve. In most Orlando homes it is near the water meter at the street or where the supply enters the house. Turn it clockwise until it stops. This alone stops most burst pipe damage.
If water is near outlets, appliances, or the panel, switch off the breaker for that area. Do not stand in water to reach it. If you cannot get to the panel safely, leave it and tell us when you call.
For a sewer backup, stop flushing, running sinks, or using the washer. Every drain feeds the same blocked line and each use pushes more sewage back into the house.
For a leaking water heater, turn the cold water supply valve on top of the tank clockwise. For gas units, turn the gas control to off. Do not drain the tank yourself.
Get rugs, furniture legs, boxes, and electronics off the wet floor. Towels along door thresholds slow water spreading to the next room.
If you smell gas, get everyone out of the building, then call 911 and your gas utility from outside. Call us after that for the plumbing repair.
Our dispatcher will walk you through any of these on the phone. You do not need to know where the valve is before you call.
Emergency Plumbing Orlando
A split supply line can dump hundreds of gallons into a home in under an hour. We isolate the line, stop the flow, and repair the failed section. Details on our burst pipe repair page.
Warm floor spots, running water sounds with everything off, and a water bill that jumped. We locate the leak under the slab with electronic detection and repair it. See slab leak repair.
Sewage in a tub or shower drain is a health hazard. We clear the main line, run a camera when needed, and tell you if the sewer itself is failing so you are not calling again next month.
A tank that is leaking from the bottom, a pilot that will not stay lit, or no hot water at all. We repair what can be repaired and replace what cannot, same visit where possible.
We also respond to major leaks from ceilings and walls, overflowing toilets that will not stop, main water line breaks, and commercial emergencies at restaurants, medical offices, and multi family buildings across Orlando. Everyday repairs for Orlando homes are on our Orlando plumbing services page.
Why Shamrock
Your call at 2 AM is answered by a person who takes your address, asks what is happening, and dispatches a plumber. No voicemail, no answering service that promises a callback in the morning. We have run emergency response in Orlando since 2003 and the phone has been staffed the whole time.
Shamrock runs more than 15 service vehicles across Orange and Seminole Counties. Your plumber is dispatched from within Orlando, not from another county. Our dispatcher gives you a realistic arrival window based on where you are and who is closest.
Emergency does not mean a blank check. After containment, you get a written price for the repair and you approve it before we proceed. The number you approve is the number on the invoice.
Stopping the water is job one. Job two is finding the cause and repairing it to Florida plumbing code so the same failure does not bring you back to this page next month. Licensed under Florida CFC1426719 and a six time Angi Super Service Award winner.
Service Area
We respond to homes and businesses in every part of the city, including downtown, College Park, Baldwin Park, Lake Nona, Dr. Phillips, MetroWest, Conway, Azalea Park, Pine Hills, and the tourist corridor along International Drive. Central Florida communities outside city limits are covered from the same dispatch.
Quick Answers
Yes. Shamrock Plumbing staffs the phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays. A person answers, takes your address and the problem, and dispatches a licensed plumber. You are not routed to voicemail or a next day callback.
Our trucks are already working across Orlando and Orange County, so your plumber is dispatched from inside the city. Arrival depends on where you are and current call volume. The dispatcher gives you a realistic window when you call, and walks you through stopping the water in the meantime.
It depends on what failed and what it takes to fix it. What we can promise is that you get a written price after the plumber diagnoses the problem and before repair work begins. You approve it first. There are no surprise add ons on the invoice.
Usually one of two places: at the water meter box near the street, or on the outside wall where the supply line enters the house, often near the hose bib or the water heater side. Turn it clockwise to close. If you cannot find it, call us and we will help you locate it over the phone.
It is an emergency. Sewage in the home is a health hazard and every flush or load of laundry pushes more of it back through the drains. Stop using water, keep people and pets away from the affected area, and call. We clear the line the same visit.
Yes. We respond to restaurants, medical and dental offices, retail, hotels, and multi family properties across Orlando around the clock. Fast containment protects your operation and keeps you on the right side of health inspections.
